About Angie Howell
I’m Angie Howell, and I want you to know that you are not alone.
I have been on this road you are traveling. I was right where you were—deep in the trenches of taking care of a child with extraordinary medical needs.
But before I get into the story behind my book, let me tell you a little about me.
I’m a Pediatric Registered Nurse, CEO, inspirational speaker, Christian Entrepreneur and Author of Jewel of Heaven. With almost 25 years in the medical field, I feel uniquely called to share my life and death journey of having a baby with a fatal diagnosis.
I’ve spent the past 15 years working with children and adults with disabilities, and I started my own home healthcare agency, Tender Hearts Home Healthcare, because of my experience with my daughter. Only a parent of a child with special needs would understand what it’s like to care day and night for our children. I knew I could offer both personal and professional experience that would be invaluable to my team… a group of people who are now like my family.
I’m a follower of Jesus, an avid traveler, and a lover of Contemporary Christian Music. I have 7 adult children, a teenage daughter, and 13 grandchildren. I split my time between Colorado and Tennessee with my daughter Jade and two obnoxious labradoodles who make our lives complete.
